FULL BODY MASSAGE (SNEHAN)

Medicated Oil is applied for a complete body massage. This is proved to be effective for Vatdosh in all age groups. Effective for: Body and Mind relaxation, Rejuvenation, Skin Toning, Gain physical strength, Enhance blood circulation.


SWEDANA

To penetrate medicated oil in the skin and body tissues. Effective on: Pain relief, Vata Shaman, Enhance blood circulation. Especially effective for Joint related disorders like Arthritis and Rh-Arthritis, Spondylitis and Paralysis. Also for Asthama and respiratory disorders.



SHIRODHARA

Shirodhara involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead. It is developed for use in sukhachikitsa (restorative therapy) and can be one of the steps involved in Panchakarma. The liquids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated. It can include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water. Effective for: Stress and Anxiety management, Sleeping disorders, Hair problems, psychological disorders, Thyroid Problems.


HRUD BASTI

This treatment is performed over your heart to de-crystalise deep seated emotions, clear toxins and nourish, strengthen, and regulate heart functions. Hrud Basti uses flour dough placed over heart area, filled with the appropriate oil.



KATI BASTI

This is a popular herbal oil treatment for relieving stiffness and nourishing lower back. The lower back is one of the primary sites of vata. A flour dough dam is made, filled with the appropriate herbal oil and placed on your lower back. By soaking the area in heated oil for about 40 to 45 minutes, pain, soreness and tension are relieved.


NETRA BASTI, TARPANAM

This is one of the most nourishing and rejuvenating therapies for the eyes. It is performed by filling a dam (made out of dough and placed around the eyes) with lukewarm medicated oil or ghee. This therapy helps relieve eye strain, improve vision, pacify the doshas in the head area, and is used to prevent and treat a wide variety of eye ailments, including poor vision, eye fatigue, glaucoma and cataracts.



SHIRO ABHYANGA

Head Massage with Medicated and Herbal oils. Effective for: Stress and Anxiety management, Sleeping disorders, Hair problems, psychological disorders.


Nadiswedanam

A localized application of steam with herbally medicated oils. This type of steam treatment focuses on specific areas of the body, such as sore joints or muscles, to improve mobility and flexibility, and to reduce pain and rigidity. It is a perfect therapy for those suffering from acute or chronic pain anywhere in the body.




Thalam

Herbal powder mixed with medicated oil is applied on the crown of the head. It is indicated in insomnia, migraine, burning-sensation of the scalp, weak sight, skin disorders and ear/nose/throat problems.


ShiroPichu

Cotton pad soaked in medicated oil is placed on the head and kept moist with warm oil. It is for facial palsy, headache, insomnia, poor memory, dermatitis of the scalp, dandruff, neurological disorders, paralysis and skin disorders such as eczema.


JANU BASTI

Janu Basti is a special ayurvedic treatment which offers relief from pain of knee joints and osteo arthritis of the knee joint. The treatment also strengthens the knee joint by improving blood circulation. Warm medicated oil or herbal decoctions are used for the process.


JANUDHARA

Janudhara involves gently pouring lukewarm medicated oil over the knee joints. Effective on: Acute pain relief, inflammation and restricted movement in knee joint. Effective for Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis. Can be used for other all joints of body.


Navarateppu-Annalepanam

Inducing perspiration by applying the warm paste of Navara rice is referred as Annalepanam. Pakshaghata (Paralysis), sarvangavata and similar other diseases, particularly in children are best treated by Navarateppu. It is also good for Muscular dystrophy, skin problems, muscle toning etc.

Navarakizhi (Shashtishali Pind Swed)

This is one of the most popular therapies used for the purpose of body rejuvenation. Here a special type of rice called "Navara" is used for massaging which is cooked with a mixture of "Sida cordifolia" decoction and cow’s milk. The Bolus bag containing medicated rice is dipped in the mixture containing decoction and cow's milk and made warm. It is then gently massaged on the body till all the medicated rice is applied on the body. Navarakizhi enhances physical consistency, strengthens the nerves and improves the appearance of the skin. It is a wonderful treatment for nervous disorders, rheumatism, osteoporosis, arthritis and malnutrition of limbs.


Pizhichil

Pouring lukewarm medicated oil, over the body in a rhythmic manner, for a certain time is called Pizhichil (oil bath).This therapy is a combination of two classical Ayurvedic treatments, Snehana and Swedana. Pizhichil is considered as the most natural method to purify different body systems. It is indicated in rheumatic diseases, muscular disorders, sexual weakness, blood pressure and nerve-weakness. Prevents scales/wrinkles and promotes healing of fractures. This treatment is also advised for rejuvenation of the body and to prevent ageing.
